Biography
I answered the call into vocational ministry back in 1992, and it was a tremendous joy and honor to serve God and His people for over 33 years as a pastor. My favorite part of that role was coming alongside of people individually and helping them gain clarity and insight into what God wants them to do with their lives. So, now that I have completed that calling, Life Coaching just seemed like the perfect fit for me. It maximizes what I do best and enjoy the most.
In July of 1997 I married my college sweetheart, Beth, and we have two awesome children — one who is a chemist, and one who is an athletic trainer.
In May of 2022, I completed the Coaching Mastery Certification Program. And since then, I have enjoyed coaching several individuals – from CEO’s to Executive Directors – and a number of people who simply need help finding their next calling in life.

Coaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual has the potential for growth as a person. I prioritize creating an environment where learning is continuous, mistakes are seen as opportunities, and success is a product of hard work and perseverance. I focus on developing mental resilience and leadership qualities. By fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere, I aim to inspire clients and business leaders to push themselves to become confident, well-rounded individuals.
I also value the holistic development of the person, encouraging them to balance all aspects of their lives, such as work, relationships, and personal well-being. By building strong character and a sense of responsibility, I aim to inspire clients to excel not only in their field, but in life beyond it.

Testimonials
Over the past year, Coach Sherm has been vital in helping me set the right priorities and holding me accountable to follow through on them. His guidance in creating efficiencies within my businesses has been transformative, freeing up precious time to focus on what truly matters—being the spiritual leader, husband, and dad my family needs.
Bill Sims Serial EntrepreneurSherm's perspective from the outside-looking-in on my life and career is so valuable to me. Of course he is wise, and of course he cares, but bringing that suggestion from a viewpoint you've not considered, or asking a question that you can't immediately answer is priceless.
Lin Bearden - President/Parker County Market, Chief Lending OfficerAs a business owner, I treasure my monthly time with Coach Sherm! He is a good listener, tremendous encourager and always points me to the Scriptures – eternal wisdom of God’s Words. Coach Sherm has become my life coach, accountability partner and dear friend. I knew I can always count on his wise counsel and prayers when I go through storms of life.
Louie Lu Serial EntrepreneurIn the last year, Coach Sherm has given me some great tools to help me to gain more order in my life. He helped guide me through a large project of creating a resource for our organization that we desperately needed in place for that time as well as for years to come. He also helped to hold me accountable to personal goals I wanted to set for myself but didn't have the courage or boldness to face them myself. I will forever be grateful to the Lord for this time I have had with Sherm as my Coach and am thankful for what I have learned about myself during this time.
